Paul H. Wyche
Paul Wyche, founder and principal of Wyche & Associates, is a nationally-known communications executive whose 40-year career has included senior-level management of all phases of communications, public affairs and marketing.

Prior to founding the Agency, he served as vice president of communications of NorthWestern Corporation, and vice president of global communications and community affairs at Whirlpool Corporation, the worldwide home appliance giant. He was formerly vice president of corporate public affairs and government relations of Safety-Kleen Corporation, and Wyche held management positions with the DuPont Company, the chemical giant. He has extensive experience in managing hundreds of crisis situations. Previously, he served as a legislative assistant to several members of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC. He then moved to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he was Associate Director of Public Affairs. Paul started his communications career as a urban affairs reporter for The Miami News.
Active in a number of local and national professional, community and civic organizations, Paul is the former chairman of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida Board of Directors. He continues to serve on the Chamber board and is also a member of the Casselberry Little League board. Wyche has also served as a member of the boards of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Chamber of the Commerce Board of Directors, the Junior Achievement of Central Florida, and a member of the WMFE (public radio) Community Advisory Board. He was formerly on the Conference Board's Public Affairs Committee, the National Association of Manufacturers Public Affairs Committee, the National Public Affairs Council and is a member of Sigma Delta Chi, the professional journalistic society.. Paul has provided volunteer support to dozens of community and civic organizations.
Director and Marketer
Amy Accardi is the newest team member at Wyche & Associates. She brings a solid skill set from her many years as a marketing executive, with a strong focus on content development, strategy and branding. She is adept at working with corporate clients to deliver effective internal and external communications in the form of web content, blog posts, video scripts, presentations, case studies and more.
Amy has 15 years of experience working at major corporations, such as Nestle, AT&T and Warner Bros., as well as small start-ups from the Silicon Valley to the east coast. She has a track record for delivering the right strategy and content to drive immediate and meaningful results.
Senior Photographer and Videographer
Joseph Blackwell has more than 30 years of experience in the realm of photography and videography working with public and private sector entities to develop award-winning programs. He is highly skilled in the latest technologies to capture, digitize and edit film. Joseph has a comprehensive knowledge of social web properties and design with an ability to manage numerous production assignments. He is equally proficient behind the camera filming out in the field or editing in the studio to create the quality messaging required for Wyche client’s communications needs.
Prior to joining Wyche & Associates in 2013, Joseph captured the work of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, BWI Airport, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, New Antioch Baptist Church and numerous other companies and organizations. An award-winning photographer, he has been saluted for his outstanding work by the state of Maryland and other organizations.
KATHERINE FERRARA JOHNSON
Katherine Ferrara Johnson joined Wyche & Associates in 2013 as a senior associate and director, initially focusing on the City of Orlando’s Community Venues projects and its BLUEPRINT Employment Office. Her public relations experience includes speechwriting, writing press releases, conducting interviews and writing articles for placement, and developing brand positioning and strategy.
Katherine’s extensive media and executive level management experience enables her to work with clients on developing targeted media strategy and social media training. She is a versatile corporate communications executive specializing in developing and executing marketing, internal and executive communications strategies.
She has managed print, video and online initiatives, and implemented targeted public relations/media programs and events for Fortune 100 companies, nonprofit organizations and small businesses.
Katherine began her media career in television, serving as executive producer and producer for cable and broadcast affiliates with the New York Times, Tribune Company, Time Warner Cable, Comcast Cable, and FOX-TV. She is a career journalist and editor with more than two decades of experience writing for broadcast television, cable, print and online media outlets.
Senior Graphic Designer
Jason Jones is a graduate of Florida A&M University and has over 15 years of graphic design experience. While attending FAMU, he participated in the New York Times intern program before joining the Editorial Graphics team full-time at the Orlando Sentinel. In Editorial, he designed feature pages, created maps and charts, and produced both traditional and digital illustrations for the newspaper. He later transferred to the Marketing Department - where he worked for five years as a Marketing Art Director.
After seven years at the Orlando Sentinel, Jason became Art Director of Orlando Magazine where he won several Florida Magazine Association awards. He was responsible for the overall look-and-feel of the magazine, scheduling of section layouts and hiring staff for the Art Department.
Jason joined the staff of Wyche & Associates in 2013, where he manages all graphic arts work in support of the Agency’s clients including pamphlets, brochures, websites, newsletters and audio-visual material.
Wendy Mize joined Wyche & Associates in 2008 as a senior writer and director. She worked in a variety of roles on the City of Orlando’s Community Venues project including community engagement, public relations, speech development for top City officials and crisis communications. She has been a writer since age 10 and a successful copywriter since 1992.
Previously, Wendy worked at WOFL-Channel 35, served as a speechwriter for the CEO of a local banking software corporation, and for the president of a successful video production company. Wendy has earned professional recognition for her work from Creative Club of Orlando and local Addy Awards.
She has developed collateral, training, advertising, and marketing material for companies such as Avon Global Products, Holiday Inn Florida & Caribbean, rollins College, Florida Hospital, and Unilever, Inc. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio-Television from the University of Central Florida, and was the youngest commercial writer-producer hired for Orlando’s ABC network affiliate, WFTV-Channel 9.
For over a decade, Lizette Valarino served as Special Assistant to Orange County Mayors Mel Martinez and Richard T. Crotty, where she focused on community affairs, serving as a liaison to the Hispanic community. She joined Wyche & Associates in 2012.
Since joining Wyche & Associates, Lizette has worked on a number of community engagement initiatives with clients such as the City of Orlando and WESH-2. She is also on the Arcadis project team for the Agency.
Lizette has worked closely with the Hispanic community for the past 28 years. Prior to working at Orange County, she served as Associate Editor of a local Spanish-language newspaper and as a freelance writer for different publications in Central Florida. While serving under Mayor Martinez, she founded the Hispanic Heritage Celebration Committee of Orange County, an organization of Hispanic county employees, with the purpose of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. In 2000, she founded the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of MetroOrlando, which has awarded over $918,500 to 239 students in the Central Florida area. Lizette also devotes time to local arts. As a volunteer, she has organized events for local arts organizations, seeking to maintain interest and motivation for the arts within the Hispanic community. She was a member of The Circle, a former board member of the Orlando Opera and Florida Opera Theater and is an undying supporter of the Orlando Ballet.
